This 50 acre sand and gravel pit land parcel is a treasure! There are veins of unbelievably colorful agate stone, river rock, bank run gravel and grey/white sand from Glaciomarine fan deposits. According to the Surficial Geology Quadrangle Map for Hancock these deposits are only found in two outcrops, this being one of them. The pit is State licensed and town approved. Conservative estimate of 6,000 to 8,000 cubic yards of un-processed loam stockpiled on site.Egypt Stream runs along the western boundary, and there are four spring-fed ponds on the property.
